The idea
The fastest note is the one you speak.
You have the thought in the car, on the dock, between meetings. By the time you’ve opened an app and typed it out, it’s gone — or it’s a fragment you can’t use later.
Notanda captures it the moment you have it, then does the tidying for you: it transcribes what you said, gives it a title, writes a short summary, and pulls out the action items. What you’re left with is a clean note, not a raw dump.

It all happens on your device — because your notes are nobody’s business but yours. Recording and transcription run on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s on-device Speech framework, and — on a device with Apple Intelligence — so does note generation. There are no Notanda servers, no accounts, and no sign-up. Nothing is sent anywhere for the app to do its job, unless you choose to add your own AI provider key.

On-device by default
Recording and transcription (Apple’s Speech framework) always run locally — no key, no account. On a device with Apple Intelligence, the AI title, summary and action items are free and on-device too. No Apple Intelligence? You still get the recording and transcript, and add your own key for the AI.
You own the files
Every note is saved as plain Markdown in a folder you choose — your own Files, iCloud Drive or Dropbox. Read, move, back up or delete them without us. No lock-in, ever.
Ask My Notes
Ask a question and get an answer drawn from your own notes, using an index that stays on your device. Your second brain, searchable by conversation.
Bring your own key
Want a higher-quality or speaker-aware model? Add your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Deepgram key. Your capture goes straight to that provider under your account — never through us. Off by default.
Wherever the thought lands
Capture from iPhone, iPad or straight off your wrist on Apple Watch. An optional coarse location stamp puts each note on your own private map.

The finished note is written as a Markdown file into the folder you picked. It’s yours to search, ask about, sync or move — forever.
Privacy, by design
No servers. No accounts. No tracking.
We run no backend and hold no accounts, so we never receive your notes, your voice, your transcripts or your location. There’s no analytics, no advertising, and nothing to sell — because we never collect it in the first place. The only time anything leaves your device is if you choose to add your own AI provider key.

A few honest answers.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
For the free on-device AI — the automatic title, summary and action items, and Ask My Notes — yes. That runs on Apple Intelligence, which needs a supported device (iPhone 15 Pro or later, or an iPad or Mac with Apple silicon) with Apple Intelligence switched on in Settings.
No Apple Intelligence? Notanda still works — it records your voice and writes a full transcript entirely on your device, and always saves the note. To get the AI title, summary and action items on that device, add your own Anthropic or OpenAI key (see below). Nothing is ever silently sent to a paid service — you choose.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s no sign-up and no login. You install it and start capturing.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes — recording and transcription always run on your device, and on an Apple Intelligence device so does the whole AI step, so a flat spot in coverage doesn’t stop you.
What format are my notes?
Plain Markdown (.md) files, saved in a folder you choose. Open them in any app, on any device, with or without Notanda.
What is “bring your own key”?
An optional setting, and the way to get AI summaries on a device without Apple Intelligence. Add your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Deepgram API key and Notanda will use that provider directly, under your account and their terms. It’s off unless you turn it on.

The note is where it starts. Your systems are where it pays off.
On its own, Notanda is a personal tool — you speak, you get a clean note you own. But it began as one piece of something bigger: the operations layer I built for my own businesses, where a thirty-second voice note doesn’t just become a tidy note. It lands in the right system, updates the right record, and turns into the follow-up before I’m back at my desk.
That’s the Reevance side of the story. If your team keeps losing good thinking in the gap between “I had the idea” and “it’s actually in the system”, the same capture can be wired straight into how your business already runs — your CRM, your deal files, your job board, your reporting.
The Notanda app itself stays exactly as it is — private, on your device, yours. Integrations are bespoke work we do with you, never something bolted onto the app behind your back.
